What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?

I hope my blog changes the narrative about romance writers. We’re not bored housewives or flashy debutantes with fake nails, we’re storytellers who believe in love, inner strength, and the worth of a Happily Ever After. Our heroines aren’t submissive, porcelain maidens from the 19th century. They’re fierce, smart, working women who take charge of their lives. They juggle careers, heartbreaks, slay their own dragons, and love with open hearts and iron wills. No rescue required, they’re absolutely kickass.

I write interracial paranormal romance and romantasy to celebrate love that defies boundaries—cultural, spiritual, and supernatural. Whether my couples are shifters, angels, goddesses, or humans, they find connection through universal truth. Because deep down, we all want to be loved for who we truly are. That’s the magic of romance. It offers connection, acceptance, and the promise of belonging.

Romance is a billion-dollar industry that thrives year after year. Yet is undervalued in literary circles. Romance is a genre that blends mystery, suspense, sci-fi, horror, comedy, fantasy, and more. We weave these genres into stories driven by emotion, connection, and heart. Romance covers all the bases and does it with style.

It’s time to recognize the depth, diversity, and creative range that romance delivers.

Quotes:

Interracial romance novels are increasingly popular with readers drawn to love stories that transcend cultural and racial boundaries. This is reflected in reader demographics, with a significant percentage of romance readers identifying as Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic, and Asian/Asian American” Sweet Savage Flame.

“Love, relationships, and emotions, romantic or otherwise, are key to the human experience. Romance just treats that as the most important thing.” – Sarah MacLean

“Romance makes the promise that no matter how bleak things sometimes look, in the end everything will turn out right and true love will triumph — and in an uncertain world, that’s very comforting,” Leigh Michaels.

What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal? Was it worth it?

The would be when my husband and I went to Las Vegas for our anniversary. We paid $35 each for a buffet at one of the casino’s restaurant. Was it worth it? No! The food was cold, under cooked and not seasoned. Needless to say we found other places to eat that wasn’t that expensive. We haven’t been back to Vegas since and don’t plan to go back in the coming years.

I remember the old Vegas where you could see a show for less than $1oo. The casino buffets were $10. Now since they redecorated it doesn’t have the same ambience as before. The essence that was once Las Vegas forever changes. Now it what can we charge you for a glass of water. So sad.

If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

I would have to flip a coin. Heads Scotland the land of timeless beauty and profound depth, mist-shrouded highlands, and ancient castles. A country steeped with myth and legend, Nessie lurking in Loch Ness to the windswept moors. Dramatic landscapes like the shores of Skye or the streets of Edinburgh.

Or

Tails Canada. Canada is multifaceted country with mountains, forests, prairies, and coasts. The amazing northern lights over the Yukon skies or the Nova Scotia’s shorelines. It is rich with traditions and diversity. Blends with Indigenous heritage and multicultural spirit into a mosaic welcome for everyone. You can wander through French-streets of Québec City or traverse the Rockies.

If you could bring back one dinosaur, which on would it be?

It would be the Triceratops. The first squishy toy I had was a Triceratops so inexpensive at the time. Of course I could not say the name right. I think I called it Tri-c-top. Plus the fact it was a herbivore so I didn’t have to worry it coming alive to eat me. Young kid crazy imagination.

Remember the cartoon/animated movie The Land Before Time? I think it was the first movie that made propelled dinos into the pop culture. The young Triceratops was the central character and she was a riot, smart mouth and didn’t take crap. Then the Power Ranger and the Transformers incorporated dinos their themes too. Now, I will stop aging myself.

What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?

The one thing I think that helps the most for my health would be that I don’t stress about what people say. Especially on social media where there is a plethora of ignorance. You will get trolls not matter what you say or do. Some people are just miserable with their life. They try to bring you down to make themselves feel better. Now, I just don’t care what they say about me or my writing. They are jealousy or envious of my accomplishments and my happiness. They never attained anything in their life which is not my fault. You choose the path you want to walk. Of course there will be stones on that trail but you must decide to turn around or go around or over the obstacles in your way.

Which activities make you lose track of time?

I have two activities and they both involve books. The first one is reading. I don’t know what most people do when they are ready for bed. I like to read a chapter or three before I go to sleep. But if the story is really good I will not put it down until I read the end. Then I check the time and it is two in the morning. So much for getting eight hours. Psst. Monster, Shifters or Mafia romance is my kryptonite.

The second activity is going to the library to check out books. You have to read the blurb on the back cover of all the books in the section you are looking for. So instead of thirty minutes you are there for two or maybe three hours.

What is your favorite genre of music?

I would have to say Country. I am not talking about the Blue Grass but more like Reba or Taylor Swift. Which is ironic because hubby hates Country. He was into Tekno which I don’t like. Now he goes for the Irish or Norse music. I like slow, expressive melodies for listening. Irish or Norse music tells a story kind of like some country songs.
