Not All Ghosts Are Meant to Scare Us:

Ghosts, Love, and Beacon Bay

Every October, we celebrate ghosts, haunted houses, and the idea that the veil between the living and the dead grows thinner. While Beacon Bay isn’t a Halloween story, I’ve realized that many of its themes fit perfectly with the season.

At the heart of the series is a ghost who never quite crossed over. Long after losing the love of her life, she remains behind as Violet’s spirit guardian. While she can never reclaim the future she dreamed of, she spends her days nudging Violet and Gray toward the happiness she was denied.

That’s what I love most about paranormal romance. The supernatural isn’t there to frighten us. It’s there to remind us that love, hope, and connection can exist in the most unexpected places.

So while Halloween is filled with costumes, pumpkins, and spooky decorations, I’ll be spending part of the season thinking about Beacon Bay, where ghosts aren’t always scary.

Sometimes the spirit lingering nearby might just be trying to help you find your happily ever after.
